In ten years
Where I Want to Be in 10 Years In ten years, I see myself as an experienced and well-established network technician, someone who is highly skilled and trusted in the field. By this point, I want to have a deep understanding of network infrastructure, from designing systems to maintaining and troubleshooting them at a high level. My goal is to be the go-to expert in my organization for ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient networks. I plan to continue building my knowledge by earning advanced certifications like the CCNP and staying up to date on new technologies in networking. I also want to explore specialized areas, like wireless networking, VoIP, or network optimization, to broaden my skills. While I may not want to move to a management position, I want to contribute to my team in meaningful ways, perhaps by mentoring junior technicians or leading complex projects. I’d like to be someone who consistently brings solutions to the table and helps improve processes, ensuring the network runs smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, I see myself staying current with trends like cloud-based networking, IoT, and cybersecurity, so I can apply the latest advancements to my work. I want to remain adaptable and proactive, making sure I’m always adding value to my company. Ultimately, I want a fulfilling career as a network technician, where I’m not just maintaining systems but also helping my company achieve its goals through top-notch network performance. It’s important to me to stay in a hands-on, technical role where I can continue learning, growing, and making a difference every day.
